*** ANNOUNCEMENT: BIRTH DAY - APRIL 9, 2008 ***

On Wednesday, April 9th Rosie delivered 12 Puppies. We were told to expect only 9 or ten, so when number 10 was born we all had a sigh of relief and Rosie got busy taking care of her babies. But to our surprise & we are sure Rosie's too, SIX hours later she delivered 2 more pups. Sadly on April 14th we lost little Pip Squeak, she was just too small and not fully developed. We are all so sad for the loss but the rest of the litter are all very healthy and doing great!!

The litter consists of 6 BLack Labs & 6 Chocolate Labs - 4 Chocolate boys, 1 girl.
2 Black boys and 4 Black girls.

Due to the large litter, right now we are letting Rosie feed them in two shifts. This way she is not overwhelmed and we give her a break between feeding so she can replenish her milk supply.

Rosie loves being a Mom! This has been quite an adjustment for all of us and for the "humans" as well.

We have a LIVE web cam set up to watch the family at feeding time. Since we are still working on shift feeding, every couple of hours you will be able to watch. We hope to be online longer soon. So please stop by and join our family.

**
If you wish to watch our cam please email us and send us your email address and we will be happy to send you an invite. Please give us your name, address and phone number. Thank you.

We will be keeping you updated on the progress of the pups and will also be adding more pictures.

All About Our Labs

Hi Everyone! We want you all to know that Rosie & Harley are going to have puppies. So everyone who has been waiting all these years for a puppy, well the waiting is about over.....  Due date is April 10th and we are very excited. Even though the pups will be going only to local homes we thought this web site would help give you information and pictures of the new "family". We are also planning to set up a live web cam so you will be able to follow the pups as they grow. This will be a treat for anyone of you who may be a future owner of one of these dogs.

Rosie & Harley aren't just a couple of dogs they are a part of our family. We are not a kennel and this is Rosie's first litter, which will be born and raised in our home. Both of our dogs are AKC Registered and OFA Certified. Both have Champion Show Dogs in their background. Although we do not show our dogs they both carry show dog qualities. They are English Labs with the big block heads, broad shoulders, very strong bodies and very kind friendly eyes.

We are very lucky to live in an area on Long Island that not only has a country setting but we live by Carmans River and by the Great Sound Bay. Lab Heaven! What more could they ask for then to be able to go to the water every day, swim, run, fetch sticks and the best thing, play "ball", their favorite game. Our dogs are able to go to the water a couple of times a day. All we have to say is "go for a walk" and all you see is two smiling faces (yes, they smile) tails wagging and a rush to the door. Harley loves diving off the docks to get the ball, Rosie is a little more timid about diving and will wait for Harley to get close to shore before she jumps in and tries to get the ball from him. Both are great, powerful swimmers.

They love us, as we love them. Unconditional love! Although two big dogs are a lot of work they also bring us a lot of joy and pleasure. Anyone you has owned a Lab knows this. We take them everywhere with us. Since Labradors are such "water dogs", they also love going on the boat to the beach too. Living by the water gives us great opportunities to pack them in our truck and take them to many water spots on the South Shore.

The most important thing to us is that each of our puppies become part of a loving family, so the primary objective in our breeding program has been to maintain that wonderful temperament that our dogs are known for. We also strive for supreme intelligence, versatility, soundness of mind and body and overall beauty. We are making every effort to insure these qualities in our Labradors.
